TCG Card Scanner
UX/UI redesign for a faster trading card scanner and collection app

TCG Card Scanner helps collectors identify trading and sports cards, monitor market prices and understand the value of their collection.
OSAM redesigned the core experience to make scanning faster, collection data clearer and everyday navigation easier for both new and experienced collectors.
The challenge: turning card data into useful decisions
The original app contained powerful functions, but important actions competed for attention. Scanning, grading, market prices, history and collections all needed a clearer hierarchy so users could understand what to do next.
We audited the existing flows and reorganised the product around the collector’s main goals: scan a card, confirm its identity, check its value and save it to the right collection.

A focused scanning and valuation experience
The redesigned home screen gives scanning one unmistakable entry point while keeping collection value and market movement visible. This balance helps users act quickly without losing the financial context behind each card.
Card detail screens combine identity, live market data and price history in a compact layout. Strong contrast and consistent components improve readability in a data-heavy, dark interface.

Scan faster. See value clearly. Keep every collection organised.
Collection management built around real value
Collections now surface their total value, number of cards and strongest asset before users enter the full catalogue. Simplified filters and larger card previews make it easier to compare items and understand portfolio composition.
The resulting design system creates a consistent foundation across scanning, history, card details and collection management. Explore OSAM’s mobile app design process or contact us about an existing product that needs a clearer experience.
